SHIRRING:
This term refers to a special effect created on the material
by gathering together a part of the material in parallel lines.

a revolution of shorts in textile fibre. This material is
used to tailor body-hugging clothes.
STOCKINGS: These are
kind of long socks that cover the feet and legs. Apart from
keeping out the cold these are now seduction tools. Once silk
was the only material used to make stockings but today the
market is flooded with nylon stockings. During World War II
British women would do anything for a pair of stockings from
American G.I’s. Traditionally a garter kept the stockings
in place but now these have elastic bands that hold them tight.

soft cuddly shorts, wide near the legs and gathered in at
the waist.

that is light, allows passage of air, keeps the shape of the
wearer and is resistant to piling.

or a type of body suit that comes with garters ready to be
clipped on to stockings.
TEDDY: It is a one-piece
body suit. If made either from silk or satin it will make
the garment loose and comfortable. But if made from spandex
it will be figure hugging. It is the perfect thing to wear
below jeans or even a skirt because it will never show up.
It has a snap crotch. It is practical and yet oozes sex appeal.
THONG: It is a larger
edition of the G-string although teeny-weeny and sexy. The
front is covered with a triangular material and the back too
has a material that slips through the buttocks.
TRICOT AND SATIN TRICOT:
These are fabrics with a porous knit that gives a soft touch
and silky finish. It is run resistant.
UNDERWIRE: These are
metal wires shaped into semicircles and fixed to the lower
edges of the bra cups to give a natural support to the breasts.
Underwires are also used in teddies as well as corsets.
